Gateway Ticketing Systems' Galaxy 4 Features Focus on Customer

Boyertown, PA – (March, 2008) Gateway Ticketing Systems, Inc., the world leader in high-speed admission control and ticketing software for the attraction, amusement, and intercity bus transportation industries has launched Galaxy 4, the latest version of its highly successful flagship product Galaxy.

Galaxy is a single, comprehensive ticketing solution designed to provide customers with a seamless system for revenue management, admission control, and security. The product has been a leading industry solution for several years, and has remained at the top of the industry due to Gateway’s practice of listening to customer feedback and incorporating it into the development of new features.

Michael Andre, Gateway President, said, “Galaxy has been built based on the knowledge and experience that Gateway staff has developed by working for years with the industries we serve. Galaxy 4 is the platform for the future, upon which we intend to keep building features to benefit those industries.”

The newly released Galaxy 4 is the culmination of several years of new product development. The work involved in this project included interviews with current and potential customers in order to help define the features that would benefit the largest number of users. The result is a product that benefits not just a few customers, but the entire customer base, spanning multiple industries.

The main highlights of Galaxy 4 include functionality specifically designed to help Gateway’s customers keep their guests happy. A focus on guest convenience through simplified, automated ticketing management enhances customer service, which keeps guests coming back. Other features are aimed at helping Gateway customers increase their sales with easily marketed pre-defined package combinations.

Gateway has been looking forward to this release and is quite pleased to be able to offer to customers all of the enhancements it includes. Scott Trievel, Product Development Manager at Gateway said, “We’re providing the right solutions for customers to conduct their business efficiently. It’s exciting to deliver a product with the feature set Galaxy 4 has to offer.”

Assistant Product Development Manager, Carol Cross, added, “We defined our new features based on what many of our customers were asking for. Our customers told us what they needed and we designed the feature to meet the most common requirements.”

Features of Galaxy 4 give customers the ability to:

• Create and sell pre-defined combination tickets, which group two or more events or items together on a single ticket.

• Add attributes to uniquely identify specific details about events and resources.

• Increase control and manage group sales more efficiently by defining and enforcing venue and category limits when booking events for groups.

• Make managing the holding of tickets for select groups easier by automating and tracking the process.

Gateway’s ticketing software has served a long list of customers since the company’s founding in 1988. Gateway is pleased to continue to provide cutting-edge technology and a seamless solution with the release of Galaxy 4. “Through it all we’ve maintained our focus on solving our customers’ issues and meeting their needs even as those needs change over time,” Andre said.
