Gateway Ticketing Systems to Show Museum-Specific Features in Galaxy 4 at AAM Event

Boyertown, PA – (April, 2009) Gateway Ticketing Systems, Inc. will be demonstrating the museum-specific features of the latest version of Galaxy, their revenue management and admission control ticketing product, at the American Association of Museums annual meeting in Philadelphia, PA, April 28-May 4th.

Galaxy is a single, comprehensive ticketing solution designed to provide customers with a seamless system for revenue management, admission control, and security. The product has been a leading industry solution for several years, and has remained at the top of the industry due to Gateway’s practice of listening to customer feedback and incorporating it into the development of new features.

Michael Andre, Gateway President, said, “Galaxy has been built based on the knowledge and experience that Gateway staff has developed by working for years with the industries we serve. Our latest versions of Galaxy were developed with direct input from our museum customers. With efficiency so important in today's economy, Galaxy’s museum features give customers a vehicle for realizing increased profits.”

Galaxy’s museum-specific features include Member Benefits, which allows organizations to extend special perks, or benefits, to members such as offering free tickets and retail items with the purchase of a pass or membership. Galaxy tracks the issuance and usage of these benefits, enabling membership departments to be more innovative with their membership products, while also providing more control of benefit usage.

Online Pass Sales and Pass Renewals help organizations increase pass sales revenue by making it convenient for customers to purchase or renew memberships. One seamless system for purchase and fulfillment ensures an efficient transaction for both customers and organizations.

Galaxy’s Rosters and Attributes features help customers manage events and resources more efficiently, particularly those facilities that offer educational programs and other events “on the fly” such as birthday parties and corporate facility bookings. These features provide demographic information about event attendees and match resources with events for scheduling and reservations.

The five-day show will bring museums and vendors together from over 50 countries around the world to discuss the latest ideas and technology in the industry. Features include more than 180 educational sessions, workshops, behind-the-scenes tours of area museums, inspiring keynote speakers, and evening events hosted by the local museum community.

The AAM show will be held at the Philadelphia Convention Center. More information on the trade show is available at http://www.aam-us.org/am09/. Gateway will be located at booth #731. Please stop by and see us.
