Boyertown, PA (December, 2004) The Air Zoo, located in Kalamazoo, Michigan, celebrated the grand opening of its new 120,000-square-foot facility with the help of Gateway Ticketing Systems.
The Air Zoo chose Gateway Ticketing Systems’ Galaxy 2 to visually and functionally complement their futuristic experience of aviation history. Renee Newman, Marketing Director for the Air Zoo, explained, “During the planning stages of the new facility, it was quickly noted that the manual ticketing system we had used in our original facility was hopelessly out of date and not very fitting for an attraction that housed high-tech, cutting edge entertainment activities. Gateway Ticketing Systems was able to take us from a manual system, to one that brings us into the 21st Century.”
During the three-day installation, Gateway Ticketing Systems implemented a robust software solution highlighted by eGalaxy, Gateway Ticketing Systems’ new e-commerce solution. Michael Andre, President and CEO of Gateway Ticketing Systems, commented, “This project was interesting because their third-party Web developer programmed their existing Web site to interface with eGalaxy Server in real-time. The Air Zoo is now able to sell tickets online and electronically provide the ticket orders directly to their in-house Galaxy ticketing system without human intervention.”
