Boyertown, PA (March 2006) – Gateway Ticketing Systems proudly welcomes the Miami Museum of Science & Planetarium to their growing family of customers.
Nancy McKee, CFO for Miami Museum of Science & Planetarium, said “We were using a rudimentary system before choosing Gateway Ticketing Systems. The biggest problem with our old system is that it was not scalable and would not adapt to our expansion plans.” She continued, “We chose Gateway Ticketing Systems because they have an easy to use solution and it allows us to effectively and efficiently train our people.” Additionally, “It was important that we were able to find a ticketing solution that would allow us to split revenue between the museum and the special exhibits.” McKee concluded, “We are taking our first step in modernizing the museum by choosing Gateway Ticketing Systems, and we are hopeful that this is a long-term solution that will be with us indefinitely.”
According to Amit Trasi, Project Manager for Gateway Ticketing Systems, “The museum was using a separate database to record their sales data. With Gateway’s POS solution, everything can be integrated for better record-keeping and marketing purposes.” The Museum deployed Galaxy Point of Sale, Order Entry, Resource Management and the Scanning at POS modules. Amit noted, “All admission control activity will be handled by one of the three POS stations at the box office.”
