From the industry's best ticketing system to unified food & beverage and retail operations, Gateway offers world-class solutions to increase revenue.
London, England (17 April, 2019) – With support from Gateway Ticketing Systems, National Museums Liverpool won an Impact Award on 9 April at the eighth annual Ticketing Business Forum at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester.
The Forum is the world’s most important business meeting for ticketing leaders in sports and entertainment. It addresses the ticketing ecosystem as a whole, including digital marketing, pricing, CRM, data and analytics. Every year, the Impact Award recognizes the best migration, upgrade, integration or new implementation project within this space.
“Establishing an in-house ticketing system for the first time in the organisation’s history, the team at National Museums Liverpool worked with Gateway Ticketing Systems in building an effective long-term solution for their eight museums and galleries,” said the Forum’s judging panel. “From establishing a brand new team and box office operation to selling more than 600,000 tickets for its blockbuster China’s First Emperor and the Terracotta Warriors exhibition at World Museum, the organisation has achieved fantastic success commercially thus far and its Box Office team has a bright future ahead as the ticketing system is rolled out across its eight venues.”
Stacey Hammond, Director of Business Development at National Museums Liverpool said, “We’re delighted to have been recognised with the Impact Award by the Ticketing Business Forum. Working with the Gateway team to establish and successfully run a ticketing system for an exhibition as successful as China’s First Emperor and the Terracotta Warriors has been the perfect springboard for staging future ticketed exhibitions and events at our museums and galleries.”
Andy Povey, Managing Director of Gateway Ticketing Systems UK, had this to add: “We could not be more excited for National Museums Liverpool. This award recognizes their team’s hard work and efforts to implement our Galaxy® Ticketing and Admission Control Software in time for the exhibition opening. Utilising Galaxy Connect™ has enabled them to sell time and capacity-controlled tickets in real time through different online agents and partners, with customers arriving at the entrance point with a ticket in their hand. The team in Liverpool have become so proficient that they are now rolling out the system for new exhibitions including Charles Rennie Mackintosh: Making the Glasgow Style at the Walker Art Gallery, enabling members to obtain their free and discounted tickets online without having to call on the Gateway team.”
